Our learning will include:

Maths

We will also be learning to recognise and find the fractions ½ ¼ ¹/3 and ¾, as  well as counting with fractions and recognising the equivalence of ½ and  ²/4. 

Science

We will be learning about Living Things and habitats including the differences between things that are living, dead and that have never been alive. 

PE
Indoor PE – Gymnastics Shape and Balance
Outdoor games – Skipping

Our timetabled PE days are on Wednesday and Thursday.

Please can parents ensure that your child has their PE kit in school. Thank you.

Music  
Listen 2 Me: We continue to have lessons with from Hampshire Music Service each Monday afternoon.  This term we have keyboarding.

Art and Design Technology

During this half term, we will be doing a Design and Technology unit on food, learning about nutrition, the importance of a healthy diet and hygiene when cooking. We will be cooking following recipes inspired by a typical afternoon tea from 1912!

Library

The children in Year 2 will be able to change their library book on Tuesdays in 2VT and Friday in 2S.
